Treatment at Mode

What medications are available at Mode?

At Mode, your safety comes first. All treatments are approved for use in Australia and commonly prescribed by doctors. Because of Australian regulations, we can’t share specific medication names until you’ve had a consultation and been assessed by a clinician. This ensures you get clear, personalised advice before making any decisions about your care.

Why doesn't Mode mention treatments by name?

Due to Australian regulations, we can only share specific treatment names after you’ve had a consultation with a Mode practitioner.

What does a 'speclist clinic" mean?

Mode Healthcare is a specialist clinic. We focus on treatments that sit beyond first-line care. Our doctors are qualified GPs with additional training in specific areas of medicine. We’re not a general practice, so we don’t offer vaccinations, routine check-ups, or standard GP visits. If you’re unsure whether we’re the right fit, feel free to reach out.

What is your eligibility criteria?

We’re here to help Australians feel and function at their best, with a range of treatment pathways tailored to each individual. During your consultation, your doctor will talk through what may be appropriate for you. Some treatments have specific eligibility criteria, which can include having a diagnosed condition, having tried first-line therapies, and meeting certain health and safety requirements. That said, we welcome anyone looking to take a more considered approach to their health.

Care at Mode

How is Mode Healthcare different from a typical medical clinic?

Mode Healthcare operates as a specialist-led clinic focused on thoughtful, personalised care. Rather than short appointments focused only on symptoms, consultations are designed to explore broader health context — including lifestyle, previous treatments, and long-term health goals. For some people, this approach provides space to explore options that may not always fit neatly into conventional pathways.

Who typically comes to Mode Healthcare?

People arrive at Mode from many different places. Some are managing ongoing health conditions, while others are focused on prevention, longevity, or improving overall wellbeing. Many patients come to us after exploring conventional options and are looking for a more structured conversation about what other medically appropriate pathways might exist.

Can Mode Healthcare work alongside my regular GP?

Yes. Many patients continue seeing their regular GP while also consulting with Mode clinicians. Where appropriate, we can provide updates or clinical summaries so your broader healthcare team remains informed.

Do you offer telehealth consultations?

Yes. Mode Healthcare offers both in-clinic and telehealth appointments, allowing patients across Australia to access consultations where appropriate. Telehealth consultations follow the same clinical standards and assessment processes as in-person care.

Preparing for your appointment

What should I prepare before my first appointment at Mode Healthcare?

Patients often want to know how to make the most of their consultation. Preparing relevant medical history, current medications, previous treatments, and recent pathology results can help your doctor understand your health picture more clearly.

Do I need a referral to book an appointment with Mode Healthcare?

Some appointments can be accessed directly, while others may require a referral depending on the type of care being explored. Our team can guide you through what is required before your consultation.

How does the prescribing process work in Australia for specialised treatments?

In Australia, certain treatments are regulated and require careful clinical assessment. Doctors must follow national prescribing frameworks, and some therapies require additional approvals or monitoring before they can be prescribed.
